Privacy policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
The short version. getchk.com sets no cookies and runs no trackers. When you activate a plugin we keep your email, your sites and the versions they run, so the license works. Your visitors' messages and emails pass through our servers only when you use our AI or our email, and we do not keep their content. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
Digital Checkmark LLC, based in Tampa, Florida, United States, makes the Chk plugins and runs getchk.com and the license server at license.digitalchk.com. For the data about you as a customer (your license, your sites, your payments) we are the controller. For the data about your visitors that passes through our services, you are the controller and we process it only on your behalf to provide the service.
For any privacy question or request, write to hello@getchk.com.
1. When you visit getchk.com
- The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It loads no fonts, scripts or images from other companies.
- Cloudflare serves the site and protects it. Like any web server it sees your IP address and the page you ask for; its request logs last about 3 days.
- We may count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you.
The download form
When you ask for a plugin by email, we check that the address can receive mail (with Reoon) and email you a link that works for 24 hours. We do not keep your address: we record only the domain after the @, which plugin you asked for and a shortened IP address (see below), to stop abuse and to count downloads.
2. When you activate a plugin
To give you a license and keep it working, we store:
- Your license: your email, your name if you give it, the plan, its status and dates. The license key is stored only in hashed and encrypted form.
- Your sites: the address of each WordPress that uses the license, the versions of the plugin, WordPress and PHP, whether it is a multisite, the domain where the chat is embedded if you use it on another site, and when we first and last saw it.
- Usage counts: how many AI messages, emails and verifications each license used per day and per month. Only numbers, never content.
- An activity log: events such as an activation, a plan change or an error, with a shortened IP address (the last part removed: IPv4 to /24, IPv6 to /48).
The plugins check in with the license server about every 12 hours. That check sends the license key, the site address and the versions above, and nothing about your visitors.
When you sign up for the free plan, we email a code to confirm the address is yours, and our server makes one request to your site to confirm you control it.
3. When you pay
Payments go through Stripe. Stripe collects your card and billing details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card number. We keep only the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the plan, monthly or yearly, the status and the end of the current period, so we can apply your plan.
4. Your visitors' data in our services
The plugins keep your visitors' conversations, contacts and tickets in your own WordPress database, not on our servers. Some features send data through us; these are the cases:
- AI answers with our key (Chatbot Chk, and the Helpdesk Chk AI when Chatbot Chk uses our AI). The conversation is sent through our server to an AI provider to write the answer. We do not store the content; we keep only the count of messages and tokens. With your own AI key, the plugin talks to your provider directly from your site and nothing goes through us.
- Emails we send for your site (paid plans). Team notifications, conversation summaries and transcripts, invitations and replies pass through our server to our email provider. We do not store their content. We send them only to the license owner or to addresses confirmed with a code.
- Email checks and codes. When a feature asks a visitor to confirm an address, we email a 6-digit code and may check the address with Reoon. The code is kept only as a fingerprint and expires in 20 minutes.
- Slack (Pro, if you connect it). Visitor messages are relayed to your Slack channel, and your team's replies, with the name and email of the Slack member who replied, wait on our server for up to 2 days until your site collects them.
- Reviews Chk talks to Google directly from your site with your own key. It contacts us only to check for updates.
As the controller, you are responsible for telling your visitors about these features in your own privacy policy.
5. Emails we send you
We email you what your license needs: confirmation codes, download links, alerts about your usage and messages about your plan. We do not add you to a marketing list. Our emails show our logo, which is loaded from digitalchk.com.
6. Who else sees it
We share data only with the companies that help us provide the service, and only what each one needs:
| Company | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Everything our servers handle, and your IP address | Hosts getchk.com and the license server, in the United States |
| Stripe | Your email, the site and the plan you buy | Processes payments |
| Emailit (Brevo or Resend as a backup) | The address and the content of each email | Delivers our emails and the emails we send for your site |
| Reoon | An email address | Checks that it can receive mail |
| DeepInfra, Groq and Google | The conversation, when the AI answers with our key | Writes the AI answers; which one depends on the task, and another takes over if one fails |
| Slack | Visitor messages and the page | Only if you connect Slack |
If we change these companies, we update this table. Beyond them, we disclose data only when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
7. How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Your license and its usage counts | While the license exists; deleted with it when you ask |
| Sites | While they use the license; a site without a license that we stop seeing is deleted after 90 days |
| Activity log | 180 days |
| The mark that a site or an email already used the Pro trial | Kept, so each one gets the trial once |
| Confirmation codes | 20 minutes |
| Addresses confirmed with a code | 180 days, as a fingerprint |
| Reoon results | 30 days, as a fingerprint |
| Slack replies waiting for your site | 2 days |
| Download links | Not stored; each one works for 24 hours |
| Cloudflare request logs | About 3 days |
8. How we protect it
Everything travels encrypted. License keys and connected-service tokens are stored hashed or encrypted, codes and checked addresses only as fingerprints, and IP addresses shortened. Access to our admin panel needs two-factor authentication.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we have about you, to correct it, to give you a copy, or to delete your license and everything tied to it. Write to hello@getchk.com from the email on the license and we answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR applies: our legal basis is the contract for your license and payments, and our legitimate interest in security and preventing abuse for the logs. You may also complain to your data protection authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know, delete and correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your data; we do not sell or share it for advertising.
10. Where the data lives
Our servers run on Cloudflare in the United States. If you are outside the United States, your data is transferred there to provide the service.
11. Children
The plugins and getchk.com are for businesses. They are not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
12. Changes
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we tell license holders by email before it applies.
